Bahrain-VAT implementation

Following the implementation of a VAT system in Saudi Arabia and UAE from 1 January 2018, it has been confirmed that Bahrain will be the next GCC state to implement VAT. It is expected that VAT will be introduced from October 2018.

Oman is currently expected to introduce VAT in early 2019, whilst few details remain regarding implementation in Kuwait and Qatar.
