Gulf VAT-Bahrain to introduce VAT in 2018

Following the implementation of VAT in UAE and Saudi Arabia from 1 January 2018, the authorities in Bahrain have stated that they will look to implement VAT in mid-2018. The system will be based on the GCC VAT framework agreed by the 6 GCC members.
