Saudi Arabia-VAT registration deadline

In preparation for the implementation of VAT in Saudi Arabia from 1 January 2018, the Saudi tax authorities have now dictated when businesses must register for VAT.

Those businesses whose taxable turnover exceeds the threshold of SAR375,000 must register by 26 August at the latest or risk a financial penalty.

According to Saudi VAT law, the penalty for not registering at the correct time may be up to SAR10,000.
